Current Location

October 2009 - North of Bryan, TX

Getting started with initial site survey and soil testing.  More here...

February 2009 - Near Newton, TX

A scant 20 miles from the Louisiana state line, this project will be the farthest we have ventured into Deep East Texas.  An unimproved piece of former timber company land, the property has no infrastructure in place.  We will clear right of ways for electrical service, improve existing logging roads and build additional roads for easy access to all parts of this heavily wooded property.  We will also clear and construct a lake in one of the watershed management areas.

More here..........

Heavily wooded area to the left of the Farm to Market road is the client property.

The hardwood watershed management areas are easily recognizable in this photo. The lake will be built in one of these areas.

October 2008 - Brenham, TX

This project is two fold.  The first phase is the renovation of an existing fishing lake that has never functioned properly despite repeated repair attempts.  The second phase is the construction of a 4 acre inground lake situated in the floodplain of a year round creek on the same property.

Renovation of existing fishing lake. View from the gazebo.

Aerial view. Lake renovation can be seen in progress at the top of the photo. The location of the 4 acre recreational lake is at the bottom

Contruction of the new lake. Large downed trees in place as fish structure.

Excavation of the new lake.

The year round creek is to the right of the picture in the band of trees between the two excavation areas.

June 2008 - Near Oakwood, TX

Another liner project--
This large inground fishing lake will be constructed in front of the main house of a 17,000 acre working cattle ranch.
The owner's house is on an oxbow of the Trinity River which is used for recreational boating. They desired a fishing lake which they could stock with primarily bass and easily manage.

Looking south through the large hardwoods, initial excavation of the topsoil can be seen. Water will come up through the trees at this location.

Looking east, a corner of the tennis court is visible as well as the owner's house in the tree line.

Topsoil is removed and stockpiled for later use.

Existing small tank will be incorporated in the new lake.

May 2008 - Near Sulphur Springs, TX

A neat little lake renovation job close to our home base in Paris, TX!

Before-- 2 small, unsightly pools

After- The two pools renovated and joined together into a more desirable configuration.

April 2008 - Coleman, TX

How many times have we talked about doing it right the first time?  This small lake has never held water.  3 attempts have been made to 'fix' it including the use of bentonite clay with no success.  We will put a plastic liner in this lake.

Cleaning / maintenance work on equipment prior to leaving Huntsville

Looking east at the project area -- We are told this is as much water as the lake ever holds

Opposite view -- looking west

Looking due south from close to water level. There should be 3 feet of water where the picture was taken

View from the front porch of the owner's weekend home on the ridge above the lake. You should be looking at a nice, attractive, full lake.

Equipment staging area
